I have some rim brake wheels with these rims and wondered if there was a disc only version? I am erring towards the Archetypes with the black brake surface if not...

Anyone know? Thanks in advance ;-)

Yes, there a non machined version all black, which happens to be cheaper too

Even better! Any suggestions for where I can get them? They seem a bit like an under-the-counter specialist item to get hold of in this country...

...or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough!

    I wasn't looking hard enough. ;-)

Brick Lane Bikes... if you are in London you can pick them up without paying for delivery

Says "Available with machined side wall only." on their website... Ah well, that other place seems to have them @ £45 a piece.

Velocity rims have always been hard to get in Europe; I usually have to find somewhere in the US that will export them to me. In the case of the A23 NMSW and Aileron, you can get them from Singlespeed Central, which is in the EU so at least there is no extra duty.

Nice one thanks. The Ailerons look lovely but at twice the price I think I'll stick to the A23s. That place I linked to up there has them for £45 each which seems pretty reasonable to me.

For anyone based in the UK, the distributor for Velocity and H plus Son is Brick Lane Bikes Big Mama... they have a warehouse in East London and a bike shop just off Brick Lane... SHoreditch High Street station

If they don't have a product, it means it's not available in the country

They are probably out of stock at BLB... I have bought many of them inthe past... I even owned a pair!

Verrry nice. The stock wheels on the Boardman CX Team I just got are 2.3kg. Think I might make some modest weight savings over that if I build up some A23/Novatec wheels ;-)
