There won't be a bigger signing this year.

interesting that they announced that they have signed with Sagan - tacit admission of where the power lies0

Underachieving cyclist changes teams
Rule No.10 // It never gets easier, you just go faster0 -
So what kind of races will he be winning next year?Half man, Half bike0

It will seem odd not riding a Cannondale. I don't see it being a problem in terms of the teams GC aspirations, Sagan gets Green by himself and is always a solo stage contender. Good news for Specialized, I expect they are busy mixing the green...0

Hopefully Oleg will make him wear a proper National Champs jerseyIt's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0

Why is there a thread on this? Mods, please move to the proper transfers thread.Contador is the Greatest0

his first Liquigas one was very good and I own the jersey and shorts from that. The Cannondale one was rubbish though.
Will see what Tinkoff can come up with and if it's good may get another one.0 -
I have a sneaking suspicion one party or the other will live to regret this move.0

Sagan is about more than just the tour, i think he has gone there for better help in the classics, the money will have been an incentive too0
-
I think he will be marginally better off than at Cannondale (cycling wise) but I really don't see how it will make a huge difference to his classics performances, and certainly not his chances of winning GT stages.0

“Our philosophy is to build a team, not just to fill a roster with champions. And we showed that at the Tour, where we built a team around Alberto, and then we were able to respond as a team when he had to abandon. It will be a similar approach with Sagan.”

It'll be interesting to see what Tinkoff buys to support him in the classics

For sake of argument I could see Sagan winning the gree jersey at the Tour next year, as he did this year, but Oleg going off on one on twitter because "He did not win a stage, he did not cross the line first with his arms in the air showing his Tinkoff jersey. He is under performing, what am I paying him xxxxxxx for?"0

Not entirely sure you can call a 24 year old who has won so much, and is so versatile an underachiever.
Check out his road.cc fantasy league points...

From Reinardt Van Rensburg on twitter, via Cycling.beSometimes I wonder what is going on in Sagan's radio. Is there actually a director giving tactics or just Metallica at full blast?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Haha endearing himself to uncle oleg already. Looks like a brand new kit there.
As an aside his bro (and two others) got thrown out of Utah for hanging onto cars. Lucky his brother is so great as he would not be in a PT team that is almost certain.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Sharing needles already?0
