Gluing tubs that have had tape on

Hi,

Brought some tubulars on ebay and the previous owner used tape. I don't trust tape so I want to re-glue the tyres on like I did with my old tubs. Any special measures I should take? Can I leave the tape on the cotton underbelly of the tub and just glue as normal?

    No, remove the previous tape and follow the instructions on the tin
