Dhf would be my choice, had it on my old trance at the front in super tacky, the 42a compound sticks really well.0

Thanks and yeah it's for the front. Anyone else?0

Ok. I've got a dual ply high roller ii rear supertacky at your recommendation and can't find a single ply super tacky one for the front and want a grippier tyre front than back. Will the super tacky minion be just as grippy as the super tacky high roller ii?0

Same compound rubber so it should be. Personally I like the same tyres front and rear.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Yeah I know it's the same compound, but the tread is different. Which tread is grippier over which surfaces?0

Minion is better on loose surfaces. HR is better on hard pack.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Cheers. And on rocks and roots?0

They're rubbish?! So what would you recommend?0

No tyre is good at everything. I wouldn't want them at Antur Stiniog in the wet but most of the time they're fine.
I prefer Schwalbe Muddy Marys now but they are huge and heavy. Grip is immense though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
what about a set of schwalbe hans dampf in 2.35 ?0

Quite expensive and too late I've already ordered the tyre but cheers anyway0
