Hi,

I'm looking for some elbow pads to be used for red routes at trail centres, so ideally lightweight, not too bulky and well ventilated. I'm currently considering the following:

Dainese Trail Skins - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/dain ... prod118470
Although I can't find a sizing guide anywhere for them.

Race Face Indy - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/race ... prod122224

Has anybody used either of these two pads or are there any others I should be considering?

Thanks

  • Not tried either of those, but the POC VPD2.0 elbows are good, they stay where you leave them, and they are easy to forget that you are wearing them, with no noticable sweatyness. I can also confirm that they work very well when you hit the ground hard

    Lapierre X-Flow 712 - XC fs rocket
Pivot Mach 6 - Enduro Machine
    Pinarello FP2 - Roadie
  • Second the POC pads
i bought them a couple of years ago following a fracture and surgery on my elbow and they have been great both in terms of comfort and when I fall off

The POC VPD2.0 look good but are quite expensive, I was looking at no more than £50

trail skins are sized like other pads so just measure and pick a size. CRC have free returns so easy to send back and get a difference size or order two sizes and send one back

I have the RF Indys, they are more a sleeve than a pad,not sure how the D30 stuff works but compared to the TLD shock doctor ones i had the padding is near minimal...
