Hesjedal been keeping himself well placed as has Niemec. Majka a little further back.

Decent now then final climb. 24km to race. Henao about to be re-caught - was not a very sensible place to attack tbh.

Amazing no one is interested in this stage. Majka wins from a group of twenty odd. Barguil and young star Formolo on thr same time. Gesink and Arredondo there as well. Not steep enough to create big gaps - top 50 within a minute. Vakoc still leads GC by 1 sec.

  • I hope tomorrow's a harder stage as that was just like an uphill stage

Meanwhile in the Tour of Utah mountain stage, the difference between first and 40th is 15mins. Tom D won with Horner 3rd at 57 secs (Herman same time). Wilco at 2.07, Evans at 2.48. Basso nowhere (was in the break).

They have some super tough climbs in the US.

Tom D is 38. The race split up early on the climb and was small groups then Tom D went solo with 4km.

  • Tom D is 38.

Is he still the next big thing?
  • The Tour of Poland has been pretty good so far, despite the weather.

The first stage will live long in the memory thanks to that fallen tree and riders getting blown off the right hand side of the road.

Yesterday though, was exciting from a more purist bike racing point of view. Decent climb, dodgy weather and riders wanting to race it properly. Looking forward to today :)

Amazingly that win by Majka makes him the first Pole to win a stage in the Tour of Poland for ten years.

  • He is a beast at the moment.

Shame he wont be able to hold on to those legs for the worlds, I reckon.

Why is there no interest in this race?

Have they still got all the same random time bonuses as last year?

enjoyed watching yesterdays stage as I was on holiday in that region a few years ago. Wished I had taken my bike with me at the time.

Any idea what this rubbish is that Carlton keeps saying they can't call it a yellow jersey. ASO don't have a trademark on that term and it's used in all the other ASO races as well so it's just for Le Tour

Apparently they are riding around Majka's homeland. Would be great for him and fans to win it again :-)

15km to race. All very fast - 50 odd in the group. Will come down to a shoot out on the last climb.

Majka remonstrating about three times for people to work. Belkin rider just attacks and leaves him. Barguil catches and goes to the front.

On the decent now before the final climb.

No cohesion at all but no sign of anyone bridging.

I guess the Lampre rider (who is hiding) is Niemec.

    First gap given : 10secs.

CCC working behind and they are closing.

Barguil on a solo flyer and is giving it some serious gas.

He stepped off and is waiting - waste of energy particularly as he is a climber. He was about 150m ahead but possibly looks like he has cramp...

    G2 at only 5secs of G1.

Odd...he has been sitting up and stretching for the last minute or so and they only just catch him.

G2 and G1 merge and Tinkoff rider goes to the front with Majka 2nd wheel. Barguil slots into 3rd wheel so onviously ok.

    Petr there but going backwards.

2.5km Majka goes. A Movi holds the wheel for 5secs then cracks.
