Bike for the wife?

Looking at a new bike for my wife with the hope we can all start going out on the bikes as a family and maybe she can bike to work in nice days as it's a flat route and only 1 mile away.
It's a toss up between a new Pendleton Dutch style bike or I have been offered a 1 year old Pashley for £250?
Which should I go for?

    Which one does she prefer?
    Commute - MASI Souville3 | Road/CX - MASI Speciale CX | Family - 80s ugly | Utility - Cargobike
  • As above, probably best to ask her ...

My wife has a Pashley that she used to take the youngest to nursery and for shopping. Practical, but very, very heavy. Any type of incline is hard work, especially with a kid on the back.

Fine for a flat 1 mile to work, but if you want to do family bike days, unless they are a few miles along the canal path I would look at other options, especially if she's planning to have it as her only bike.

My wife has the Pendleton Somerby. Loves it.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
