messed up my holiday booking

was supposed to be staying near lake annecy. ended up paying for a campsite a couple of hours further south.

not happy or popular right now.

so i have a 2 hour drive to les deux alpes for a day of riding.

Because of the extra cost i now have to take my 29er hardtail.

I hope it is up to the job!
I don't know enough to make smart r's remarks about peoples choice of parts 'n' things, yet!

    Extra cost? From the drive? Why not cancel the booking and book closer? Unless you are going tomorrow I dont see that they can have a no cancellation policy. Even if there is a small charge better to be at Annecy (unless you are that family the other year) as its beautiful.

    A 29er will undoubtedly break the second it gets any where near any of the trails near Les Deux Alpes, I'd stick to pottling around the lake on it instead :P

    Lake Annecy is nowhere near Deux Alpes anyway, so you'd still have a 3 hour drive to get there.

    And Deux Alpes is basically due South of Annecy, so if you've booked somewhere two hours south of Annecy it's probably in Deux Alpes... :?

    This makes no sense.

    Staying at Lake annecy meant i could have gone over to Chamonix and that area but due to the distance i cocked up the booking by meant that I was closest to L2A. Staying at Annecy also would have meant i'd have the time and cash to stay longer and hire a full sissy bike.

    So why can't you cancel the booking? You may have to pay for the first night at most.

    And how can you be two hours south of Annecy and two hours from L2A!?

    for the sake of a few hrs & £ I would still hire the full 'sissy' bike - at a few hrs away, you're a hell of a lot closer to decent hills than you are now
