Power meter - Road and MTB

Does anyone have any bright ideas for a power meter solution that will work with both a road and a MTB please? Starting to get back into MTB and it would be nice to be able to swap between the two.

    The Stages should work on all Shimano Hollowtech cranks. I've not had the chance to try mine on my Deore XT set up though the cranks on that are 175 (vs 172.5 on my road bikes). Worth a closer look to see whether it will really work.
