Upgrade or new bike?

Ive got a 2013 Felt Z5 which as my first road bike I have really enjoyed riding over the last 12 months. A friend has just offered me a deal on an American Classic Road Tubeless wheelset. These are very light ~1250 gram wheels. I rode them this evening and compared to the Mavic Aksiums they are 750g lighter, and feel it too.
Friend wants £500 for them retail is £900.
This got me thinking though, would I be better off selling my Felt Z5 putting in some extra cash and getting higher spec bike insteadI.I like Felt and the AR3 looks really nice, or even an AR2.

If you are comfortable on your current frame and are confident that you are putting down your power efficiently then I would upgrade parts myself.0
