Upgrade or new bike?

Ive got a 2013 Felt Z5 which as my first road bike I have really enjoyed riding over the last 12 months. A friend has just offered me a deal on an American Classic Road Tubeless wheelset. These are very light ~1250 gram wheels. I rode them this evening and compared to the Mavic Aksiums they are 750g lighter, and feel it too.
Friend wants £500 for them retail is £900.
This got me thinking though, would I be better off selling my Felt Z5 putting in some extra cash and getting higher spec bike insteadI.I like Felt and the AR3 looks really nice, or even an AR2.
