Trek Marlin 7 2015 or Specialized Hardrock Sport 2014?

Hi there

I'm a rather tall guy and looking to get a bike at a max of £500 (which needs to be from Evan's Cycles for a discount scheme).

I've narrowed it down to 2 bikes but can't decide which one to go with. Please help!

Also a few years ago I used to bmx dirt, a bit of street and a bit of vert so I'm probably going to be treating my mountain bike like a bmx, hopping over everything and trying to get some decent air if that helps in your suggestion?

Please let me know what you think, or of any advice you may have.

The specs are very similar to eachother , the trek has 100ml travel on front suspension the specialised only has 80ml probely wouldn't be noticble tho. I own a trek and they have lifetime warranty on their frames, not sure what if specilezed do,

The Hardrock is a terrible bike. They have stuck the heaviest, most useless fork on they could find, which will completely destroy the riding experience.

The Trek gets a hydraulic fork, as does this:

That Charge in Supersonics link has a brilliant frame. Really nice ride.
I had a hardrock, it is terrible.
