Trek X-Calibre 9 (2015)?

Looking for a new Cyclescheme bike, my local shop sell Trek & Giant mainly - and I was pointed towards the above by them for the sub £1000 point (£850 RRP).

Does anyone have any thoughts on it, is there anything else in the Giant range that's worth looking at instead?
