Hi!

I just purchased a road bike from a friend, they have come with the pedals attached below. I have searched high and low on the internet but I can't find out how they're used. Are they for cleated bike shoes?

Thanks!

Are they not just 'normal' pedals used with trainers etc?

Probably, 'beginner' doesn't begin to describe how little I know about these things. The thing that threw me off was the three holes in the front, it made me think that maybe something could clip into it?

Apologies again for how clueless I am.

Once upon a time they would have had toe-clips attached to them.

Ah ok, so it's just a case of buying clips and screwing them in?

Those do indeed want clips and some leather straps. MKS are good, or look for some old Christophe ones on eBay.
