Cycling in Girona, Spain

Has anyone any experience of cycling in Girona, Spain ?

How does it compare with Mallorca ?

We have cycled Mallorca the past three years and fancy a change

We are planning on going early May next year so grateful for any tips on good bike hire , accomodation and whether there are any organised daily rides with the ex-pats or locals

    For bike rental, they have good quality orbea carbon framed bikes for rental at a good price. They are helpful with routes and are centrally located near the main train station.
    I stayed at the Hotel Peninsular again central location and very cycle friendly. They have a lock up garage for bike storage but I had no problem taking my bike to the room.
    Good rides local and nice ride out to tossa de mar then along the coast road.
