Shimano BB/FSA crank compatibility

I have FSA Gossamer cranks and a worn out Mega Exo BB that I want to replace. The question is, can I replace it with an Ultegra BB - BB6700 is looking favourite but is it compatible with the FSA cranks?

    Tend to see mixed opinions on this question. Spindle diameter is the same as Shimano so should work OK but I have seen others say they are not compatible.

    FYI on this thread part way down there is a pic of a Gossamer crankset fitted to an Ultegra 6700 BB.

    The Hollowtech BB's are pretty cheap so it's worth a gamble

    I have had 2 gossamer cranks,
    First one, I had to lightly emery the plastic insert on the Shimano Ultegra BB to make it fit, the second one was a tight fit - but it did fit. You also should use a torque wrench with gossamer cranks, as you could have problems with the spindle.

    Well it fits - took a bit of a tap but nothing too dramatic. I'll take it for a test ride this evening.
