Afternoon,

When peddling , especially under tension my crank and or peddles seem to click once every full revolution, also occasionally when hill climbing or standing up the chain seems to slip??

Any ideas what it might be without me going in for a new crankset?

Thanks in advance,

Hayden

None of what you describe necessarily means a new crankset is needed. The clicking would probably be sorted by you stripping, cleaning and greasing/lubricating everything in that general area (BB, crank arms, chainring bolts, pedals, etc). The slipping chain could that your gears are poorly set up or that you've ridden them to death and the wear-and-tear parts need replacing. Follow Park Tools' guide on setting up gears and see if that helps.

    I had that

Just give the BB a good clean and regrease and it should be sorted

Whats your setup? 3x9, 2x10, 1x11, single speed? And how old is the kit.
