Hi

What size cassette can I use with a short cage 10 speed mech?

Cheers

I think it will vary depending on the manufacturer / model of the rear mech.

FYI I am currently running a 12-30 Tiagra cassette on my Shimano 105 short cage(SS) rear mech. Received wisdom is that 28 is the largest cog you can run on the SS rear mech but in my experience you can run up to 30 with maybe a tweak on the B screw to facilitate smooth running in the lower gears

Current Tiagra and 105 short cage rear mechs are rated to 30T. And that is Shimano's conservative rating.
