Rear rotor catching caliper!

Hi, Just been restoring an old 2007 Carrera Vulcan I had lying around and noticed the rear wheel rotor is so far over to one side it's catching the Tektro caliper? I tried to adjust the caliper to centre it but it still catches at full adjustment! The only way I can centre the rotor with the discs is to add a spacer on the axel but surely something must be wrong to have to do this? Any ideas? Btw I dont think the frame or caliper is bent by looking at it at least.

Could be an issue with the wheel, the frame, the adaptor you are using or the calliper.

I presume you meant centre the caliiper over the disc/rotor?

Which side is it catching, you can use spacers to move the adaptor away from the frame (sounds like that isn't what you want), or file (or get a different) adaptor to try and move it closer. It may be the rotor has become dished and you need a new one.

A 2007 is NOT old (my Kraken frame is 2006......)
