So apparently this year's event has " leg-sapping climbs" so have they re-routed it via the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District?

  • Well, I did see snow at the top of Sawyers Hill one winter, so I guess it's a lot like Galibier...

You have to remember that the Ride London 100 is mostly not for actual cyclists...

But I shall be entering the ballot again.

Its the wiggle/official t-shirts that I find the odd thing about 'The Hills'

Edit: Just had a look to see if the tech t is in stock yet and noticed they only do 'THE HILLS!' t-shirt in ladies version now.
    Bit sexist lol.
My wife will be up those hills quicker than a lot of guys............unless there are a lot of guys that cannot get up a hill in front of her

She only started road biking recently (and loves it) so is exactly the type of person this event is for I would say.
If she could not cycle up a hill, she would not have entered.
Or at least trained for it after entering!

Carbonator, are you going to take a gap year in 2015 or you will still hammer on this?

Surely your enthusiasm is worth a VIP free entry... are you pressing the right buttons or you just go with the flow? Maybe you should dress as a banana for 2015....

Why do you read RideLondon threads Ugo?
I can only think its because you are a mod, but you are the oddest mod I have ever noticed (as others have commented).

You don't like a lot of the things involved in cycling and then just stalk people to take the p1ss out of them.
Go on, use your powers to alter this post lol.

If I was the guy in the banana suit my right hand would be rotated 180 degrees

Oh dear, Ugo's sidekick is back lol.

It was funny the first time (genuinely ;-) ) but not much of a contribution second time around

You should get Ugo to draw the route on a MKII version. He said he is good at that

Surrey County Council's leader might not have ever left Surrey.

The Surrey "Hills" are alongside the Chiltern "Hills" as the flattest things to be called hills.
