Saint pedal clicking

Hi all, today I gave my saint flat pedals a great whack off of a weird shin-height fence post at quite high speed. This allowed me to have my first (completely intentional  ) front flip, landing 10m further down the trail with my bike on top of me. Luckily the ground there is soft and grassy, so no damage was done, to me at least. Unfortunatley my right hand pedal now clicks once per cycle. I'm wondering if I've crushed a bearing or some thing. It was a really big hit.

Any help? They seem easily serviced so I'm not afraid to take them apart.

Can you hear/feel the click when you just spin the pedal on its axle by hand?

No, it's only under medium/hard pedalling. It's definitely the pedal though, and I've noticed a (little) bit of side to side play.

Quick bump, anyone got any ideas? I've today and tomorrow off so it'd be great if I could get it done.

Yeah, just pulled the spindle out, cleaned, regressed and the sound is gone. When I first took it off the spindle was very loose in the body...
