Hi,
Rebuilding my rockhopper this week and past thing I need to buy is a wheelset. I don't want to spend anymore than, £90 ish.
Any ideas would be great
Thanks
Tom

I have avid 6 bolt rotors will they fit?
Yes quick release front and rear0 -
They will fit both of those
I'd go for the shimano/stans combo above0 -
Are they better than mavic crossbones?0

Straight pull spokes are a PITA to get spares, and can you even get a set for £90?I don't do smileys.

Probably a stupid Q but can the Stans no tubes ZTR also be used with tubes as a clincher?
I'm also interested in some budget wheels must be strong and ideally fairly light, willing to pay around £120-£150.0 -

Thanks. Would these be suitable for my 15st?0

For XC riding, yes.0

Think I might get the no tubes. Anything better for £100 or shall I go for it?0

They are blooming good wheels for the money, can't see you getting better new.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

What would be a stronger wheel more suitable for all mountain type riding?
Will to pay up to £150.0 -
All mountain on a Rockhopper?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I was thinking about the crossones as well. I ride mainly trail centres (Dalby Red and bits of black) to replace my crappy formula hubs with mavic xm319 rims, or would you guts recommend Superstar

I wouldn't recommend the amx for a trail centre....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

If you want cheap and strong I have a pair of Mavic XM719 rims on Superstar Switch Evo hubs for sale. You would need new qr adapters from Superstar which wont cost much.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

How cheap? Condition?
Anyone know the weight of the Superstar AMX as it is not listed on their website?0 -
I'm looking at shimanos MT15 for £80 on ribble? Minus the 10% TDF discount?0
-
Or fulcrum red metal sls on merl in for £99?0
-
Is a good price - a little heavy, hardly 'SL' and definitely not worth RRP, but for new is ok.0
-
Are the stans no tubes better? What about the shimano mt15?0
-
Stans are the rims, depends on the hubs and spokes too.
I'd prefer Shimano to the Fulcrum as easier to get spares.0 -
The deal on marlin suggested at start of thread. Stans no tunes with deore hubs0

Good looking deal, but little info their ie spokes, weight etc.0
