Hi,
I was wondering if somebody could help me in regard to assmebling a road bike. I already own a decent road bike but I want to build/assemble my own bike and in the process learn about all the parts etc. I am a bit of a novice in reagrd to this. Therefore if somebody could help me/ highlight the main points of what to do and what to consider when undertaking the assembly that would be great.

Thank you

Might be an idea to let people know where you are.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

I'd recommend either buying or borrowing from your public library, one of the manuals available for road bike maintenance. There are many available and most will allow you to do a build and the regular things that are necessary for riding on a regular basis. Also, watch some of the videos on You Tube, say Park Tool's or Bike Radar's channels, to familiarize yourself with what you need to be able to do. Its not that difficult, just don't be leery of going to an LBS or expert, to help you out if you get stuck.
Lets just got for a ride, the heck with all this stuff...
