Hey guys, I have a newb question here, i have an old mtb that came with a shimano tourney/sis drivetrain set, i recently discovered that my crankset and cassette are already worn out causing me all the shifting issues that i have been facing, is it possible for me to just change the crankset & cassette to a Deore / Alivo without changing my RD/FD and shifters at the same time?

Thanks,
John

Yes, as long as the shifters and mechs match, the rest should work fine. Change the chain as well.
Depending on the crankset you may need to change the bottom bracket as well. Crankset determines axle length and chain line.
