buying new wheelset adapter question.

My brother has this bike and both wheel hubs and rims are shot to shit. He has seen some superstar wheels questions are he has a 10speed rear mech chain and cassette from another bike that was used like 5 times. He wants to convert his specialized to 10 speed instead of 8 with a new wheel set from ss. Is that possible? And if so is it the 135x10mm that will be the correct rear adapter?
