After some shrewd buying on eBay / Gumtree I finally finished my bike project, I admit the bike is having an identity crisis but most parts were bought either as they were cheap or I thought they'd look nice.
I was building it to sell on hence why it cost so little, but I've grown very attached to it.. picked up the tri spoke wheel (20 quid!) not sure if I'm going to put this on it yet, as it needs some tlc.. Here she is.. 20140721_160015_zpsrn46f40z.jpg

If those parts are genuine then bloody hell nice one.

If not then £225...who cares, nice one!

Interested to hear how it rides and what its final weight is.

Any way to get the Bianchi off the forks? Because they do colour match very well.
  • The forks are full carbon ones off eBay for £40, thought they'd look good with the frame, some old boy got them from a house clearance didn't appear to know what they were! they haven't been cut down yet, waiting to ride and see what positions good as my backs got rubbish disks in it (probably too much swing ball!) ive not weighed it yet but it feels very lite!

frame was 40 as well, it had a post fused inside it which was why it was cheap I got it bored out at a machinist. took him 2.5hrs, I could see the quote of £20 he gave me first burning away in him!

Cool stuff! Question is: is it a Pinaranchi or a Bianchello?
  • :) Brill think I like the Bianchello better!

  • Thanks!
  • I've had a go at weighing the bike and and the average weight I've come to (and I'm not saying this is 100% accurate) is 7.8 kg. it does feel light! the tri spoke wheel on the front look good as well (in my opinion!)

Seriously don't put that tri spoke on the front. For starters it looks stupid and it will be dangerous in crosswinds.

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.
  • Suppose it was only my opinion that it looked nice, Is it a major factor having it on the front with winds? Never had one, only happened upon it

Wouldn't look stupid with a rear disc!

Is it a front or a rear wheel? You seem to be using it on both.
  • Only put it on front an back to see what it looks like, it's got a screw on hub for a cassette but I've been informed it can be used on both and I've brought an adapter for this
** to clarify I've not decided yet if I'm going to use the wheel!! **
