Shimano 7970 and 9070 Di2 Wiring Diameter Differences?

Hi,

Is there any difference between Shimano 7970 and 9070 wire diameter? Also would blanking plates on a Di2 specific bike adhere to both 7970 and 9070 wires, if there is any difference in sizing?

    the wires are different. if your bike is kitted out for electronic shifting then it will work with Di2 (old type 7970 and new type 6770/6870/9070) and campag EPS. you just have to make sure you get the cable lengths right.

    The rubber frame hole entry plates are quite compressible. I think they would work for wire twice as fat as the 6770 wires on mine.
