10 speed chain link
I was caught short with no spares so had to nip to Halfords yesterday to get a chain link.
I have a 10 speed Shimano setup. Halfords had no 10 speed links in stock so in the end I ended up with buying this 9spd one anyway: http://www.clarkscycles.com/index.php/h ... 28-9-speed
I've been onto the Clarks site today and found they do sell a 10spd link: http://www.clarkscycles.com/index.php/h ... 28-9-speed
What is the difference between the two? Spec wise they seem identical. :?

You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

At a guess I'd say the 10 speed link will be slightly narrower. I can undo my 9 speed KMC links very easily but the 10 speed ones, although they are the reusable ones, take a lot more persuasion.
A 9 speed link on a 10 speed chain should work as a get you home type bodge, but I wouldn't rely on it as a permanent joining link.0
