Hi ,

Anyone got any useful/doable tips to stop the internal top tube brake cable rattling on bumpy roads??

Any sensible suggestions... :):)

I'm not averse to cable swapping if anyone found that to help.

Cheers

Vinny

  • Stick some rubber cable donuts onto the cable - stick one at each end (about 2-3 cm in) and one every 7-8 cm). You can get donuts that will fit bare cable/liner sleeve or outers depending on how your bikes cabled.

I made my carbon frame internal on the rear brakes. Drilled 2 holes in the frame, bought some rubber Grommets [cervelo ones]
from ebay , you can pick up d12 ones easier. Worked out the length of housing needed and ran some Tune super light housing all the way through.. So nothing there to rattle.
