Cateye adventure sync problem

Hi I'm trying to sync my computer unit to the sensor I've looked on line any YouTube I'm doing all that they say but it won't find or sync the sensor to the unit I've replace the batteries and held the unit 30cm from the sensor but still no joy :-( it was bought from someone on here but I can't remeber who and deleted all my msgs stupidly

Only things I can think if are the sensor is no good or I'm doing something wrong
Anyone got any ideas or had a similar problem
