shimano press fit bb91

im replacing my bb on my cube litening, i removed it but it took some doing, the bb was reused on a new frame that was replaced under warranty. once i got it out it seemed as though it had been fitted with some kind of bearing fit or loctite type stuff, is this the norm or do i just press the new one in dry etc.
