I just purchased a set of Swissstop Flash Pro Green, they arrived today and I went to fit them.. but..
My current brake pads don't use any cartridge system:

What's the best way to get a set of shoes that the SwissStops cartridges will fit into?
My current calliper brakes on my Cannondale Caad 8 sora are "promax". So I was thinking if I bought a whole new set of calliper Brakes would they come with the necessary shoe to slide the SwissStop cartridge into?

Or can the shoes be purchased on their own anywhere, I have tried searching Wiggle/Evans etc but no luck?

Any ideas?

You just need some Shimano pattern brake shoes - no need for expensive Swisstop or branded ones. Try Planet-x or ebay.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Hmm - thanks Monty - I'll try my LBS tomorrow and see if they have anything for sale, want to try out the new pads this weekend!

the pads you link to are:

    a) very good
    b) for dual pivot roadie brakes

but then you say you have V brakes, which use different pads so are incompatible. Unless I'm missing something...?

If you have V brakes then you need V brake pads
If you have road calipers then you can use any shimano-compatible brake holder and the Swissstop pads you link to.

Maddog, the the brakes I had previously didn't have shoes, you had to remove the whole brake block directly.
The SwissStop's I purchased were only the cartridges that are meant to slide into shoes.

So today I went to my LBS and purchased the cheapest set of brake blocks I could that came with Shimano fitment shoes, which were these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ashima-aluminiu ... ke-blocks/ I removed the pads they came with and slotted in the SwissStop cartridges :).

Yes I think the confusion is you said you had V-brakes when in fact you don't - if you google V-brakes you'll see what they look like and your new brake shoes likely would't fit.

DeVlaeminck - ohhhh I see now, edited my post to say caliper instead of V to prevent future confusion.
