Putting together a community in my hometown and I'd like to get some stats to flash about. The ultimate aim is to get the local authority to take issues more seriously, specifically providing some provision for off road or shared routes along a notorious section of the A38.

Who do I request this info from, and has anyone any tips please?

Local Police website should have an FOI section/link.

This site has a lot of data already accessible by locality - including accident maps:

Choos the "KSI Casualties by road user type" graph, once you have gone into your local authority area.

You can get some national info here if it's of use as well.

This is the national report for 2013 - it's interesting to note that while cycling is at the lower end of percentage of accidents, it's the only mode of transport that hasn't seen a continuing decrease in accident stats. :(

    Interesting site - thanks Seajays.

I had to tick the "severity of accident - slight" check-box for my accident (one night in hospital, broken collarbone) to show up, but I've not been able to find any definition of serious vs slight.
