Which is a better pair of bib shorts?

The castelli free aero bib shorts or the body paint 2.0 shorts.

I can't see much of a discernible difference, and they both use the same pad.

I have both. It's just the lack of seams on the body paint shorts really, plus the bib straps are different, although I think the aero free straps are a bit more robust. Have managed a small tear in the body paint straps but it was easily repaired. I find them both equally comfortable. Really like the pad in them.

Cheers. Found a pair of aero for £87 and cheapest body paint was £158 so went for the aero
  • The 'belly' cut out is different on the body paints, may restrict breathing if carrying a few extra pounds....

The Body Paint 1s were the most comfortable shorts I have ever tried. I got some at the same time as some Free Aeros to try. I send the Body Paint back because despite that, I didnt like the straps on them and the Free Aeros were still totally awesome.

Since then, I have had the BP bib straps on some winter tights and actually found them OK in the end.

Just tried some Body Paint 2s and they didnt fit properly in the legs for me - I think they have made the cut a little smaller since the 1s - and some reviews online seem to back this up.

So the Body Paints seem to size up a little smaller than the Free Aeros in the legs.

    What grill said.

The aeros are very comfortable indeed.

But the body paint are a class apart. I managed to get mine in the end of season sale for 105squids.

    Bargain of the year.
