The guy has clearly lost his head.
The significance behind Koen’s tattoo is that it comes from this thoughts after a nasty crash he had after E3 Prijs Vlaanderen – Harelbeke in 2012. He was questioning why he keeps sacrificing himself for this sport and came to the conclusion that it’s no different than the entertainment that the ancient gladiators used to provide. The tatoo covers his scars from that crash.

Very nice tattoos. I know they divide opinion, but I do love a well-crafted one.
Did anyone see the article on World Cup footballers' tattoos on the Beeb?Ben

Give it five years and all that detail will be a blurred mess. That's if he doesn't rip it off in another crash first...
Waste of time and money.0 -

I've got tattoos that are over 10 years old and there not a blurred mess.
Ssshhh, this is the main argument against tattoos. Don't ruin it.0 -
Is it carbon?
All that added weight. But maybe a black and white tat is lighter than a colour tat?"The Prince of Wales is now the King of France" - Calton Kirby0 -
