Rear hub sealed bearings

Hi guys
I heard a horrible noise from my rear hub only when free wheeling. My friend said it sounds like the bearings are gone. The wheels are Giant p-sl1's and only done sub 1000 miles. Does anyone know what sealed bearings I need? Tried Google but no luck. Anyone know what sort of price a lbs would charge for this?
Thanks

Have you taken the wheel out and turned the axle by hand? If not do so. It the axle wobble or feel rough when turned then there is a bearing issue if not then it is something else. Also check there is no play on the freehub body. Why not visit an LBS and ask them how much it will cost. The cost will depend on which bearing they use and if they use sockets and a homemade press or the proper wheels manufacturing tools. Those that have shelled £300+ on bearing tools may charge a bit more but those tools will not mess up the bores/bearing seats in your hubs like a sockets and a home made press if not used carefully can.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
