Hi,
Can anybody recommend some good knee/shin pads for general trail centre use that are reasonably comfortable to pedal in please?
I've been looking at the Troy Lee Designs KG5450 Knee Shin Guards

or the 661 Rage Knee Shin Guards

Has anybody got experience of using either of these pads or can anybody recommend any other pads I should consider?

I have the Troy Lee KG-5450 and they are very nice, highly recommended by me. Getting the correct size is important so measure yourself and check your size according to their chart. They stay put even when pedalling lots and they are not very bulky so don't get too clammy like my old 661 Kyle Straits used to do. I've only had a small fall on them, landing wasn't too hard but I did slide for a bit and they stayed put and didn't move.0

I use the 2013 Rage Knee/shin guards and they're very comfy to ride in, I barely notice they're on. However they do get pretty hot (especially in this weather!)0

I'm looking at getting some knee pads like yourself but without the shin protection
The TLD ones look good for the price and like jairaj said make sure you size correctly, I have read that if your skin is quite sensitive the materials they use to stay in place can cause a rash
The IXS pads also look very good and may be worth checking out
Not sure if they make a knee and shin pad but Fox knee pads are one of the most popular0 -
Has anybody tried the O'Neal Trail FR knee / shin pads?
