Well, it looks like i'm about to catch up with the rest of civilisation and join everyone else in having a black rectangle glued to their hand

Obviously the only reason I'm doing it is to use GPS whilst riding, so can anyone recommend a handlebar mount, please? I see there are some crazy cheap options on ebay, but I'm guessing they're not up to much, so any experiences you can share of ones to use or avoid?

oh, it's an iPhone 4 if that makes any difference :?

Topeak iphone drybag and stem top-cap mount. I use their other, generic smartphone drybag with the top cap mounting and I'm happy with it. It's certainly secure.

I got sick of my iPhone5 losing GPS signal so I bought a dedicated GPS.
I use Strava and around the Dark Peak the iPhone signal is poor and rides were lost.It also lost the signal on 3 road rides in Devon.
I've not tried it with other Apps.

    Looks nice, but quite pricey.

I like the idea of total waterproof-ness (especially round here), and it's a good price, but topeak say you shouldn't use it for "prolonged periods in direct sunlight" due to overheating (which is understandable), and I don't want to end up having to buy a different one for hot weather.

    Anyone used the QooQoon?

Just get a case and stick it in your pocket. I've had more than a few offs with it and nary a scratch on the phone.
