Good Afternoon,
Im deciding between the new Emonda SL8 with SRAM RED and the 2015 Cannondale Supersix Evo RED. Price is NOT an issue between these two bikes. The Trek has RED all the way around including crank. The Cannondale has RED all the way through except the crank which is Hollogram TI and FSA. Looks is playing a huge option into my decision. The Emonda SL8 has a ugly paint scheme IMO it looks like a low level bike. The 15 Supersix looks BA. Please give me opinions as if color didnt play a role. I rode the Emonda SL6 it was cool, and a Supersix Ultegra is coming Friday for me to test ride. As for now, i test rode both and they were equal.

Bikes with horizontal top tubes always look faster....0

SS is a proven thoroughbred race bike, Emonda is new, and indeed light! But not by much and currently unproven. I would either wait for write up or go with the Supersix. The crank is likely stiffer than the red crank anyway (no evidence per se, just from what ive read about hollowgrams)Canyon Roadlite AL-Shamal Wheels-Centaur/Veloce Group

If they have it in your size, you could get the 2013 Supersix Evo Hi-Mod Red from Pauls for a fraction of the price. Or the 14 (wheelbase - 17% off) if you must have 22 speed, save the difference on some new wheels/bibs, whatever. I think the frame is unchanged for a few years now.
I quite like the look of the Emonda though, but hard to see past the horizontal TT on the Cannondale!0 -
Supersix does indeed look great. Doubt you'll have any issues with either so why not go for one that fits and you like the look of?
Plus the Trek is designed to be light - but still weighs 6.85kg according to the stats. Supersix is hardly a porker is it?0 -
I like the responses! I probably should just go with the bike I like huh? Thanks for the responses. I do like the part about the SS being proved where as the Emonda is not! Bike Radar gave the SS a 5/5 too which I haven't seen?0

Hi, what did you choose?0

I went with the Emonda, the duotrap s is sick. And looks great instead of zip ties. It also has Bluetooth which I can connect my phone too! Instead of using GPS. I Dont have the bike yet though!0

Seems two great reasons to buy an expensive bike.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
