Been looking at these but not sure if I should wait for the 2015 versions of these bikes?
What do you think its the best for the money?
I like rock shox however is there a big difference with the reba, gold 30 and XC?
I like the look of the trek elite series though don't want to go higher than £1000

They look similar but it's the forks im not sure about. I'm looking for a good overall bike for the money which have the better forks/components/build quality for riding in the south of Spain.
Thanks all.

Rebas are the best of the three forks. Recon Gold RL is also very good but a little heavier and not quite as well damped. The XC is very basic and heavier with poor quality damping, probably no compression damping at all. The XC28 is particularly flexy as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I dont know whether to wait off till the 2015 bikes are launched, depending if theres going to be any big changes or not?
Which of the 3 bikes do you prefer?0 -
None of them are particularly good value for money. Have you considered ordering from one of the German mail order companies like Canyon or Rose Bikes? You would get a lot more for your money.0

I was thinking of a 26" or 27.5" bike as its mostly trails and gravel tracks i'll be using here.
Canyon don't seem to have any in hardtail unfortunately.0 -
If you "don't wanna go over a grand" you should look at the On-One Parkwood...£999 - RS Rev and Reverb and full Deore kit"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

As I live in Spain, how does that go with warranty issues to send the bike to another country for repairs, also my LBS has Trek, Cube and Orbea.
Are 29" all they're cracked up to be? Looks like all the bike manufacturers are on a 29er craze.0 -

Like anything else 29er's suit some riders but not others. My 29er Carve hardtail is great for the XC and trail centre riding I do but other doing the same have full suspension bikes with various wheel sizes.0
