... For becoming a real cyclist now I've had a clipless moment and fell over? I've read that's how it works.

I'd slowed down coming to a round about to let a car go by. Except the car was going much slower than expected. By the time I'd worked that out, too late, over I went.

Slight scuff to my lovely white Sidis, sever scarring to my pride and dignity.

I got a bunch of stitches and a neat little scar when I had my worst and final clipless moment.

A hard lesson, but it seems to have been learnt as my feet have been out before I hit the ground every time I've gone down since then.

No badge required. But yes, you are a cyclist now, not just a guy on a bike.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

As we're playing Top Trumps, I fell between the front and rear wheels of a construction lorry.

    You get a badge.

Mine was earned in front of a woman driving a 4-by-4 full of kids on the school run. She slowed down to let me out. I fluffed it and keeled over sideways. The look of horrified astonishment on her face was quite memorable. I was surprised by how many sharp bits my bike turned out to have :).

had a timbeeeerrr moment on cs7 near tooting last week after the TDF stage 3 finish in London, we were riding back to Brighton, white van man turns right across the stationary traffic line except he ignored the bike lane , I screeched to a halt but in my fatigued panic could not get my feet out of the Brand new a little too tight spd's and fell into the stationary traffic line, much to the astonishment of all around including the terrifed car driver closeby...all good if a little shocked

My one and only was at traffic lights in front of a white van full of builders.

Unclipped my left foot as normal, went to put my foot down but unfortunately there was a huge pot hole and toppled back the other way.

It wasnt much fun but learnt to actually look where im placing my foot in future
