Hi all
I've been riding a 2011 Cube Ltd Race http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-LTD-Race-M ... _39763.htm hardtail for a few years now and am thinking of moving to a full suspension bike, my budget however is extremely limited.
I am therefore very tempted by what appears to be something of a bargain here: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/sunn ... prod115623
A 2012 Sunn Shamann S1 for under £1000. I've done a bit of research and the components specifically the shocks seem to be decent and forgetting about the frame and minor components add up to not far of the asking price.
I'm aware Sunn have gone belly up but seem to have been a well respected manufacturer.
To my questions what do you guys reckon to the bike / specs / value for money? I mostly ride cross country and red forest trails with the occasional black (where I chicken out of the gnarliest features) do you reckon this bike would be a good match?
Lastly I'm a bit concerned about servicing and parts. A couple of people have asked CRC about bushings with no satisfactory answer. I'm not much of a DIYer but I'd have assumed most parts would be specific to the components i.e. Rockshox and sram rather than the frame / Sunn?
Your wisdom and advice gratefully received.
Paul

Pretty decent at a grand.
Frame bearings and bushings may be specific - bearings are likely to be generic but any bushings, top hats etc may be specific.
Shock bushings and reducers are not likely to be a problem.I don't do smileys.

I'd risk it at a grand, it seems a bargain for the spec. I'd then start seeking out any specific parts straight away and get a stockpile.0
