Hi all, need some more help thanks to my complete lack of bike maintenance skills...

As you can hopefully see in the pictures, after the last ride and relubing afterwards, i noticed that the teeth on the chainrings have started to be scratched. How? It's a relatively new bike, ~500 miles.

Thanks for any help,
Turbote.

    It's just a coating, it'll get worn off. Cosmetically it'll be hidden when the lube goes black.

    chain = metal
    chainrings = metal

    Metal on metal = wear. Embrace it.
