Hullo.
In addition to Box Hill cafe, Fannys Farm Shop and Peaslake - where is good to stop for some mid-ride sustance?
Planning on stopping around Leith Hill / Abinger area but cant think of anywhere.
Cheers

Tanhouse Farm Shop in Newdigate
Tillings in Gomshall
Nothing really where you want it i.e. near Leith :-( althought I see The Abinger Hatch pub which I think has good reviews and cycle friendly.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Many thanks.
I wonder whether just picking up the bike and carrying it to the cafe at Leith Hill Tower will be a PITA.0 -

Yes I think so...I walked to the tower from a car park and it was quite a walk. Not sure what the easiest route would be from the road and certainly in cleats would be a challenge.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

There's not a lot up here to be honest, Leith Hill tower from the bridle way/road opposite the Plough isn't a bad route. It goes past the extension of summer lightening (MTB trail) if you're into that.
The Plough's my local and I can highly recommend the Southern Jack burger & the beers brewed on site. Well worth stopping for lunch not really a cafe stop though, I'm sure they sell tea and coffee but can't say I've ever ordered it!0 -

Fairly useful, not many cafes on there though. The one at the top of Newlands has closed. which is a shame as the young girls who served there were rather nice :PWyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

Cheers everyone. Actually remembered when I was heading down Holmbury Hill that there is a little farm shop next to The Parrot Inn in Forest Green. It has a coffee machine hidden away at the back.
Had a cup of Tea Pigs English Breakfast and a treacle tart! Very nice.0 -

Okay so it's in Westhumble rather than the Surrey Hills but it's a lovely little place with a bike shop too!FCN = 40 -
If you're doing Barhatch Lane or something like that, then the garden centre just outside Cranleigh is pretty bike friendly too. Stopped there on a few club rides in the past.CS7
