Contour Cameras

I'm after a helmet camera and I think I've decided on a Contour.
Am I correct in thinking that there are three?
Contour Roam
Contour Roam 2
Contour +2
The +2 has GPS which isn't necessary as I have a Garmin so was deciding between the first two.
Anyone got a suggestion? Or alternative?
Anyone who's used these cameras, what's the battery life like?
Can you film in a lower resolution than 1080p?
Do you get an SD card and how much footage fits on it?
Can you just use movie maker to edit said footage?
I don't really want to spend more than £160 all in.
What mount would people recommend for just filming road rides in case of the need for evidence of idiotic driving? Would I also need a camera facing backwards?
Sorry for all the questions, I appreciate any replies I can get as this has been a lot of mess to read.

I was about to do this a few weeks back. Borrowed a mates Go Pro copy, £60 or so from Amazon. All the camera I'd ever need, loads of mounts.
But, one just one ride, I found myself looking more at other people to get that evidence "just in case" then just simply getting on with riding.
I do 40 miles a day. I have a few incidents each week. I have a quick vent at those idiots. I worried that, with a camera, it would become ever more about me and ever less about them.....My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

IIRC around 2 hours. My old ContourHD had a removable battery which was the same as a Nokia BL5C and plenty of replacements were available onlineMichaelMLFC92 wrote:Can you film in a lower resolution than 1080p?
Yes, 1280x960 @30fps, 1280x720 @60/30fps. Other Contours offer more resolutions, this is the recording resolutions from Roam2. If running one camera 1280x960@30fps offers the largest field of view.MichaelMLFC92 wrote:Do you get an SD card and how much footage fits on it?
IIRC a 2Gb card comes with the camera.MichaelMLFC92 wrote:Can you just use movie maker to edit said footage?
Some people have said older versions of WMM don't like the file type. I use Sony Vegas.MichaelMLFC92 wrote:What mount would people recommend for just filming road rides ?
Vented helmet mount.MichaelMLFC92 wrote:Would I also need a camera facing backwards?
I didn't thinks so at first but now run two cameras.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
