Hi all , I think my bearings have gone on the headset of my 2012 cannondale synapse, as I can't get over my lbs until the weekend , I am just posting to get some quick advice if any. Does anyone know what size the bearings I need to get are and is it dangerous to keep riding the bike with this problem. The reason I think the bearings have gone is every time I'm on a rough stretch of road which there are plenty where I live there is a loud clicking sound through the vibrations and also when I'm out the saddle pushing hard up hill the clicking sound gets worse. Any advice gratefully received.

As this the 'Workshop' I'd primarily say strip and clean down the front end and put back together again.
There are a few YT vids showing how...however.. as you mention you use a shop for mechanicals..I'd say riding with a headset that needs attention probably is not the most fulfilling of experiences.. so if it is really bad.. don't use.
Unlikely that you will have a near death experience.... but who knows?
Learning basic bike mechanics btw is actually quite fulfilling.
