The offer of a discount on production of your old helmet in part exchange for a new Kask vertigo sounds like a great deal, Does anyone know of a participatin Kask stockist in or around Manchester ??

I've done the usual web searches et al I can find a few places "down south" that seem to have the offer running but nowhere "oop north"

Any ideas

Cheers

Cadence Sport in Burton are participating. Naturally nowhere near Manchester, but they are happy to exchange by post. Worth a go if you don't find anywhere else.

The KASK website does not show a list of dealers which is frustrating. The link at the bottom of the page is broken.

    Well, well, well!

Was on the CycleSurgery website where they state they just need a photo of your current helmet:
Save £65 on a KASK Vertigo! Simply quote code: VERTIGO at the online checkout and send a photo of your current helmet, along with your name and order number to: enquiries@cyclesurgery.com

Anyone wanna give it a go?

Thanks for pointing out that link as I was about to pull the trigger on a Kask Mojito for £105!

Well, the Mojito is a lighter helmet and Sky preferred them to the Vertigo so there's a lot to say for sticking with the Mojito.

Exactly, the vertigo is only on offer because it's about to get replaced with the new version that sky are wearing on the tour. I think the vertigo has issues with the pads becoming detached. I have a K10 and think kask helmets are the best out there but agree the mojito is the best in the line up.

Yeah, I've read some reviews suggesting it's uncomfortable when wearing eyewear.

I'm not sure that there would be much in it when on the road - I have a K50 as well as a Mojito and that isn't much heavier and it feels pretty much the same to wear; both are excellent and I'd guess I'd be happy to have a Vertigo as well. The pads are better on the Mojito but both are great helmets. But I wouldn't rush to favour a Vertigo over a Mojito at a similar price just because the former comes with a big discount. The Mojito has always looked like it was priced way to cheaply compared to both the Vertigo and competitor products (eg Giro Aeon).

Those last post re:- the Mojito are interesting I was considering the Mojito before the Amnesty it does make sense though if as the reviews intimate it's better helmet for the money, I'd also better take my Glasses when I try one on which is good to know

    Thanks for the help chaps

I've ordered both and will return one depending on how they feel and work with glasses and will post an update.

I bought a Mojito last week, was a little dubious at spending 3 figures on a cycling helmet, but it's actually awesome and glad I did, all the helmet you could ever need.

Bought the mojito about two weeks ago, great helmet. I use two different pairs of glasses, one fits fine no problem ,the others catch in the adjustment strap on the back of the helmet and i just cant get them to sit properly. so there may be an issue with certain glasses. (think i'll get away with it if i trim a few mm off the length of the arms, but a bit drastic).
    SOLITUDE. It's not for everyone.

Tried them both and it's the Vertigo for me. Both were fine with Oakley Radarlocks although with either helmet on its lowest setting there is slight contact from the arms but minor adjustments sort that, although the glasses sit slightly differently than with current my Giro helmet.

Have to say, it's the most I've ever spent on a helmet but the quality is superb and at £99, it almost feels like good value!

Don't think you can go wrong with either and it's just down to personal preference.
