Flat pedals for my Dad's road bike

So, I bought my dad a Carerra road bike for his birthday last year, his old one ( that came from eBay ) was just rubbish.
He loves it, he does the same 6 mile loop about twice a week if it is sunny, but loves cycling and the carrera so job done....?
Well no, the bike came with flat pedals, with toes straps, which he HATES for some reason and he keeps going on about the pedals on his old bike...the pedals that got thrown away..
So the question is can you recommend a decent set of flat pedals for a road bike?? Budget wise, prob no more than £30??
Thanks

I can recommend the Wellgo MG1 as a flat pedal, albeit for a mountain bike. I believe there are cheap, but reputable sellers on Ebay doing them for under £30, which is fantastic value for money.0

Been using these on my commuter. No problem with grip and a nice size for a road bike...
