Hi all!
This is my new and first road bike. The Planet X pro carbon ultegra 11 speed. After about 4 years mountain biking. I messed up my knee and was told i shouldn't go off road or i would do more damage then good. So I started road cycling and i started to enjoy it more than mountain biking.

    Nice :)

I've got the same wheels on a recently acquired RT-58. Be aware that the tyres are a lot tighter to fit than any of he other wheels I have so carry some decent levers.

  • just about to order one of these with 105 , cant afford any more . was it set up ok when it arrived ?
  • Nice mate, I got the black frame myself and put Ultegra 11speed on it.

Had you any bother setting up the front mech? I can't get to stop rubbing on the big ring at all, and that's after watching the Shimano youtube tutorial as well.

If the front mech is touching the big ring then maybe it's set too low. Should be a guide (sticker on the front mech, with a silhoutte of the big ring teeth ) which allows you to get the front mech lined up with the right clearance. Some trial and error required. Sure it's not chain rub on the front mech. No easy answer other than to play with the high and low adjuster.
    Someone's just passed me again
  • No, it was the fact that the chain was rubbing on the big ring while going through nearly all the gears. I got it sorted to a point after watching the Shimano tech video on youtube. Who knew that turning the little gromit under the pinch after using the cable guide would makes so much difference.

It's always the small things that the problems are with :D
