I am joining my father (68), brother and sister on this epic and poignant journey.
I have not been on it before but it is supposed to be an amazing experience.
Let me know if you are in this event and wish to get in some practice in the Surrey area (Woking, Guildford, Surrey Hills).
Also, please check out our family training and ride blog over at http://www.RidetoParis.co.uk
Cheers!

Hi CXRider & Moffatt666
I've got a few of these under my belt over the years, and I'm on this year's too !!
I really love the ride. The RBL staff are great, everything is well-organised and the remembrance ceremonies on the way are emotional. I help out as a ride captain in the social group with my wife & chums, it's great fun. The medium is also a good group at a slightly quicker pace. Day one is a slog to Dover, but there are good organised stops on the way. The three days in France on closed roads is a joy. There's great mechanic backup from Nigel's crew from Sidcup Cycles and the arrival in Paris is fantas...
I could go on all day but you'll see for yourself in just over 3 weeks !!
My name's Greg & I look forward to saying hello to you & the family0 -
Looking forward to seeing you Gregg. I remember day one being a real killer last time but I was hungover, didn't eat breakfast and had to be up at 0400 to travel from Marble Arch to the start line. Depending on my day-one performance, I may well see you in the social group0

Hi Moffatt666
As you know it's easy to skip between groups either at the start or during the day. Starting with a hangover is probably not a great idea, but Ive certainly had one or two of them when riding out of Abbeville on the Saturday morning !!
The weather looks OK as well, even if there's an easterly breeze forecast. See you in Greenwich..0
