Michael Jordan played pro baseball, albeit not too successfully.
Ivan Lendl qualified for pro golf I think, as have a number of tennis pros. Mardy Fish is doing that now as did Scott Draper a few years back.

Richie Porte started his career as a triathlete I think?

Greg LeMond - a fairly handy skier by all accounts prior to taking up cycling

    As was Levi Leipheimer

    Emma Pooley.

Cyclist, trialthlete and runner and incredible high standard in all. Has won a marathon title for example and I think is in the top 10 or 20 British women when it comes to best marathon times.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

There was a Dutch speed skater in the 80s - won a hatful of Olympic golds and then later ended up in pro cycling - he rode the Tour at least once. Can't remember his bloody name though.

Maurizio Fondriest was Italian cross country ski champ in his age group a few years back. Tyler Hamilton was potential Olympic downhill skier at college but switched to cycling

Zanardi - racing driver lost both legs in a crash about 10 years or so ago. Came back to win a couple of paracycling (hand bikes?) golds in London 2012.

Back injury due to big crash (according to his book), so cycling was good as it is non-impact (until you crash, obviously!). His coach said he had an unnatural ability to suffer - was a good x-country skier as well.

Kafelnikov turns up for the Lyoness open (a European tour event) and a couple of Challenge tour events every year. He's never made the cut afaik. He used to get invited for the Russian Open a while ago too.

No, he just won a British tournament that was held there. His daughter's a good hockey player.

No he didn't. He may have entered. The last British boy to win Junior Wimbledon was Stanley Matthews.

(No, not that one, his son)
